Things to do in Budapest:
Citadella – the best view over Budapest ,Citadella is a fortress in Buda side,in front of Elisabeth bridge – on the top of the Citadella you get a panoramic view over the city, you can also find there souvenir shops and local food as the knowen sweet Kürtőskalács.
Fisherman’s bastion – the name of the castle came from the responsibility of the fishermen’s guild in the old days to defend the castle.
there is a beautiful view from there.
you can also find there a structure of the first king of Hungary riding on a horse.
The Fisherman’s bastion is located also in Buda side, close to Szechenyi bridge.
Hospital on the rock – an undergound hospital museum , it is a really nice experience, and a good change .
it is built as a tunnels in a mountain ,the museum tells the story of the hospital through few wars in different times (Soviet period, World War II, the Cold War and more)
located in Buda side – close to the fisherman’s bastion.
Central market – a big market in Pest side – close to Szabadsag bridge .
you can find there different kinds of foods , and a lot of souvenir shops.
the first floor is for a fresh food , meat , fruits and more.
the second floor is for souvenir shops and local food .
Cruise on the danube-of course do not miss the Danube , cruising between the two sides of Budapest , enjoy great architecture, good music , dinner and fine wine – I took cruise from dock Number 3 from Pest side.
My advice: take the cruise at night – all the historical buildings are covered by lights.
St. Stephen’s basilica – big and beautiful basilic in Pest side – there is an option to enter the basilic. Out side of the basilic you can find a nice place to rest and enjoy from a great restaurants and coffee places.
The Parliament– The most impressive building in Budapest no doubt !
the height of the Parliament is about 96 meters , decorated with 40 kilograms gold. you can see there the crown and the sword of the first king of Hungary and more- Do not miss this tour that tells about the history of the building , there is an option to take a tour in different languages.

Margarit island – small island in the Danube – really nice place to walk – great place for kids – you can find there a musical fountain , options to rent a small vehicle and some coffee places .
Opera house – big impressive opera house, the inside of the house is really outstanding – there is an option to take a tour – the tour includes short opera .performances
the Opera house is located in Pest side.
Budapest eye – Ferris Wheel – nice ride for kids,it is located in Pest side close to Szechenyi bridge , you can also find there some food stands.
The national museum – the Hungarian national museum is located in Pest side.
Dohany street Synagogue – the biggest synagogue in europe, the synagogue located in a square that is named after Theodor Herzl in Pest side.
How is the transportation in Budapest ?
The transportation in Budapest is very convenient. The metro stations are well-connected, and you can get to anywher,e very quickly. Note – that there is even a night line that travels around the city.

I found a great place for a breakfast – and I really recommend to give to this place a shot – it is a small place that called “London Coffee Society” with a great atmosphere, located in Pest side ( address Dohány utca 27, 1074)
